Today as you gather in this cathedral, I wish to invite you once again to open your hearts to God. My children, the world today is wounded. Many hearts have lost peace. Many families have lost common prayer. And many people live as if God does not exist. Do not allow fear to be stronger than your faith, nor let hatred prevail over love, nor let the darkness of this world extinguish the light that my son Jesus desires to give you. Dear children, do not wait until tomorrow to change your lives. Do not wait for the world to become better. Start today starting with yourselves. Be light where darkness reigns. Be a voice of peace where war is spoken. Be hands of love where people suffer. I invite you to pray especially for your families, for the youth seeking the meaning of their own lives, for the priests, for the church, and for peace throughout the world. Do not fear the future as long as you walk with God. Do not lose hope in the face of the crosses of life. My Son, Jesus, has conquered death and in Him lies your hope. Thank you for responding to my call to prayer and to peace.

Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque was a French Catholic nun born on July 22, 1647, in L’Hautecour, France, who became known for her profound mystical experiences with Jesus Christ. From a young age, she felt a deep desire to devote her life to God, eventually entering the Visitation Order of nuns in Paray-le-Monial in 1671. During her religious life, she experienced a series of visions in which Jesus appeared to her and revealed His Sacred Heart, a symbol of His infinite love, mercy, and suffering for humanity. In these mystical encounters, Jesus entrusted her with the mission of spreading devotion to His Sacred Heart, asking her to encourage Holy Communion, Eucharistic adoration, and a special feast in His honor. Although she faced skepticism and difficulties in sharing her experiences, Margaret Mary remained faithful to her mission, receiving spiritual guidance and support from Saint Claude de la Colombière. She died on October 17, 1690, and was canonized by Pope Benedict XV in 1920. Today, Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque is remembered for her extraordinary mystical union with Jesus and her enduring role in promoting devotion to His Sacred Heart throughout the Catholic Church.

And the rest of the Jews acted hypocritically along with him, with the result that even Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy. But when I saw that they were not on the right road in line with the truth of the Gospel, I said to Cephas in front of all, “If you, though a Jew, are living like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?”
